REVOLTECH DANBOARD - a cute cardboard robot from Japan

REVOLTECH DANBOARD - a cute cardboard robot from Japan リボルテックダンボー

The adorable Revoltech Danboard ("danboard" meaning "cardboard" in Japanese for "cardboard robot") has become a hit both in Japan and overseas. GoodsFromJapan has been receiving numerous purchase requests for the cute battery-powered Revoltech Danboard, and has shipped them out to many satisfied customers.

Being battery-powered, the Revoltech Danboard moves his limbs and his eyes light up!

Few products fuse the pedestrian simplicity of the cardboard box, the high-tech cutting-edge image of the robot, and the must-have adorableness of a children's toy into a single, unique product so adeptly.

The Danbo Robot is the creation of Japan's Yotuba Sutazio (i.e., Yotsuba Studio) and features in its "Yotsuba" mange. The Revoltech Danboard comes in various sizes and styles. There is an Amazon Japan-only version of the Revoltech Danboard, a Pepsi version, a "plain-pack" version, a "Mandarin orange carton" version, and more.

The Revoltech Danboard is so popular that there is high demand for it even as a second-hand item. Revoltech Danboard has clearly become a hit with collectors of kawaii products from Japan.

Pluster World DVDs from Amazon Japan, bought through GoodsFromJapan.

Bōken Yūki Purasutā Wārudo ("Journey of Adventure: Pluster World") is an anime series on TV Tokyo that ran weekly between April 2003 and March 2004 in a total of 52 episodes. Pluster World was directed by Yuji Himaki, the series was organized by Sukehiro Tomita, and the music was by Motoi Sakuraba.

Pluster World proved a huge hit, and its popularity is still very much alive. The story is based on Plusters and Minusters, and there is a huge cast of characters, led by Beetma, Wyburst, Harnia, Moley, Zagarian, and many more denizens with fun, wonderful names, personalities and roles.

Needless to say, Pluster World also has its own games, including a role play game and a racing game.

The full Boken Yuki Purasuta Warudo series is available on DVD, however some of them are very scarce. Pluster World DVDs can often be found on Amazon Japan and Yahoo Auctions Japan, but sellers on these sites usually have a policy of selling to people living in Japan only. The episodes in the DVDs pictured here are 8 and 15. Episode 15 is readily available in Japan, but Episode 8 is quite hard to find, and therefore quite expensive.

GoodsFromJapan comes to the rescue for people who see things like these DVDs that they want but cannot buy because they live outside Japan.
