Airmail & EMS To The USA From Japan

Airmail & EMS To The USA From Japan

October 2023 Update - Registered International Small Packet or 小型包装物書留 has replaced ePacket and resumed service on October 1, 2023.

July 2022 Update - EMS has resumed from goods shipped from Japan to the USA after disruption during the Coronavirus pandemic. ePacket and SAL have not yet resumed service. We will keep you posted.

We have calculated that around 3%-5% of all goods sent by normal airmail from Japan to the USA never arrive or arrive very late. They disappear or are delayed in the US Mail.

We strongly recommend that customers choose EMS or Registered International Small Packet, which are insured and can be checked online.

EMS is more expensive but gives extra peace of mind and takes 4-5 days for delivery to anywhere in the US. For heavier items, EMS becomes cheaper than the normal airmail prices.

Thus for a TK16 Master kendama sent from Japan to the USA here are the postage charges.

Airmail 520 yen
EMS 1200 yen
