Japanese Tatami Goza Mats

GoodsFromJapan offers beautifully hand-made goza tatami mats. These are the top part of the tatami which is traditional attached to a heavy straw base, or increasingly nowadays, a polystyrene base.

Shipping the bases is expensive and in some countries, such as the USA, the straw base cannot be imported due to insect concerns.

However, the top mat fits perfectly over carpets or hard wood floors.
